1. Common Features
'Track' is a basic building block of songs being composed on TuneAroundStudio, which holds a series of sound-blocks of an instrument. There are three types of tracks you can add in TuneAroundStudio, i.e. Instrument Track(blue), Melody Track(orange), and Mic Track(red).
This section describes the common features of all types of tracks, and the following sections will cover the details of each type of tracks.
1. Common controls for all types of track
  • 1 Start/Stop playing track
  • 2 Mute/Unmute track. You can set or unset this button while in playing mode, also.
  • 3 Adjust track volume.
  • 4 Scroll back to the first valid cell position in the track. (Alternatively, press Shift-'Left Arrow' key)
  • 5 Scroll backward.(Alternatively, press 'Left Arrow' key)
  • 6 Scroll to the last valid cell position in the track. (Alternatively, press Shift-'Right Arrow' key)
  • 7 Scroll forward. (Alternatively, press 'Right Arrow' key)
  • 8 Shows where to start playing. You can change the position by drag-and-drop the locator, or click on the lane at the desired location.
  • 9 Click to remove the entire track.
2. How to Copy/Cut/Paste cells
  • 1 Select a region to copy(or cut) by right-click (Mac: Cmd-click) and drag.
  • 2 Click 'Copy'(or 'Cut'), or press 'Shift-C' (or 'Shift-X').
  • 3 Right-click (Mac: Cmd-click) on the start position of the destination.
  • 4 Click 'Paste', or press 'Shift-V'
2. How to clear cells
  • 1 Select a region to clear by right-click (Mac: Cmd-click) and drag.
  • 2 Click 'Clear', or press 'Shift-DEL'
  • 3 In order to clear all the cells on the track, click 'Clear All'.
3. How to insert a blank cell
  • 1 Right-click (Mac: Cmd-click) on the cell where to insert a blank.
  • 2 Click 'Insert', or press 'Shift-I'.
  • (Note that it automatically inserts blank cells for all the tracks at the same position)

1. How to add an Instrument Track
  • 1 Click button 'INST'.
  • 2 Click to view more instruments
  • 3 Click on an instrument you want to add.
2. How to add sound blocks
  • 1 Click on a cell you are willing to put a sound block into. The top rolling window shows the candidating sound blocks for the target cell currently marked.
  • 2 Click to preview each sound block.
  • 34 Navigate back and forth through the groups of sound blocks recommended for the target cell. (Alternatively, press Shift-S or Shift-D)
  • 5 Drag and drop a sound block you finally choose to put into the cell.
3. How to use 'Auto Choice'
Auto Choice is one of the unique features TuneAroundStudio offers. It intelligently fills cells in harmony with other existing tracks easing the user's burden of repetitive manual choice.
  • 1 Select a region by right-click (Mac: Cmd-click) and drag.
  • 2 Click 'Auto Choice', or press Shift-A to run Auto Choice.
4. How to use 'Fill Function'
  • 1 Select a region by right-click (Mac: Cmd-click) and drag.
  • 2 Drag and drop a sound-block into the region.
  • 3 The program fills the region with the given block repeatedly.
3. How to change tempo & key
  • 1 Click if you want to change key.
  • 2 Click if you want to change tempo.
  • When changing key:
  • 3 Click Up/Down arrow to select the target key.
  • 4 You can preview before starting to process for the entire song.
  • 5 Click to set the target key to the default value.
  • 6 Click to start processing.
  • When changing tempo:
  • 7 Click Up/Down arrow to select the target tempo.
  • 8 You can preview before starting to process for the entire song.
  • 9 Click to set the target tempo to the default value.
  • 10 Click to start processing.
